Specialized Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy — 60 Minutes
Deep Release | Modern Recovery

Experience the traditional practice of cupping through a modern, restorative approach.

Cupping uses specialized cups and controlled suction to gently lift the tissues rather than compressing them. This creates a unique sensation of decompression and can be particularly beneficial for areas experiencing persistent muscular tension.

With advanced cupping training from the College of Acupuncture and Therapeutics, Michele combines traditional cupping techniques with an individualized approach based on your comfort, treatment goals and areas of tension.

What to Expect

Your treatment begins with gentle preparation of the treatment areas before specialized cups are applied using carefully controlled suction.

Depending on your needs, cups may be stationary or glided across selected areas of the body. Pressure and suction are adjusted throughout the treatment according to your comfort.

Benefits May Include

✨ Myofascial Decompression
Creates a unique lifting sensation through the tissues and may support greater ease of movement.

✨ Tissue Stimulation
Provides localized stimulation and a distinctive sensory experience that may leave treated areas feeling lighter and more relaxed.

✨ Tension Release
May help ease areas of persistent muscular tension and promote a sense of physical relaxation.

✨ Deep Relaxation
Cupping can be a deeply grounding experience, particularly for clients who carry significant physical tension.

A Soothing Finish

Your session concludes with warm steamed towels and, where appropriate, cooling essential oils to leave you feeling refreshed, grounded and restored.

A Note About Cupping Marks

Temporary circular discoloration is a normal possible response to cupping. The appearance and duration of marks vary from person to person and may last several days.

These marks are not an indication of toxins being removed or of a particular level of tension or "stagnation." They are simply a temporary response of the tissues to the suction.

Craniosacral & Myofascial Therapy for TMJ

Craniosacral & Myofascial Therapy for TMJ

Specialized training in head, neck and jaw techniques

The temporomandibular joints (TMJs) connect the lower jaw to the skull and are involved in chewing, speaking, swallowing and yawning. Tension involving the jaw, face, neck and surrounding musculature can contribute to jaw discomfort, facial tension and restricted movement.

This specialized hands-on treatment combines gentle craniosacral and myofascial techniques to address areas of tension throughout the upper back, shoulders, neck, face and jaw.

What to Expect

Treatment begins with gentle work through the upper back, shoulders, collarbone, chest and neck to encourage relaxation throughout the structures surrounding the jaw.

The treatment then progresses to extra-oral work around the face and jaw, including the muscles involved in chewing.

When appropriate and with your informed consent, intra-oral techniques may be used to address the muscles of mastication.

Intra-oral treatment is optional. Gloves are used for all intra-oral techniques, and a clear stop signal will be established before treatment begins. You may withdraw consent or stop the intra-oral portion at any time.

This Service May Be Helpful For

TCM Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture

60 or 90 Minutes

Restoring Balance & Supporting Natural Wellness

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture is a traditional East Asian medical practice that has evolved over centuries. It uses ultra-thin, sterile, single-use needles inserted at specific acupuncture points to support balance and the healthy flow of Qi and Blood within the body's meridian system.

Within TCM, health is viewed as a dynamic relationship between the body's systems, influenced by constitution, lifestyle, emotions, environment and patterns of imbalance.

How TCM Acupuncture Works

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, acupuncture may be used to:

✨ Regulate Qi & Blood
Support the smooth movement of Qi and Blood throughout the body's meridian system.

✨ Support Yin-Yang Balance
Treatment is individualized according to your TCM presentation and may be used to support greater balance within the body's functional systems.

✨ Encourage the Body's Natural Regulation
Acupuncture provides gentle stimulation to specific points and is traditionally used to support the body's ability to regulate and restore balance.

Your Treatment

Your session begins with an individualized assessment based on your current concerns, constitution and TCM presentation.

Acupuncture points are then selected according to your individual treatment strategy. Your treatment may also incorporate other techniques within your practitioner's training and scope when appropriate.

Each treatment is individualized, and your acupuncture point selection may change from one session to another as your presentation changes.

Acupuncture May Be Considered For

  • Stress and difficulty relaxing
  • General tension and discomfort
  • Sleep support
  • Digestive wellness
  • Musculoskeletal discomfort
  • Fatigue and low vitality
  • General health and wellness

TMJ & Jaw Relief Massage
Targeted Relief for Jaw Tension, Clenching & Facial Tightness
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jaw to your skull, controlling essential daily movements like chewing, talking, and yawning. When stress, teeth grinding, or head and neck strain overload this delicate joint, it can lead to persistent facial pain, headaches, and jaw stiffness.
This specialized treatment works the deep muscles surrounding the jaw—both externally and intra-orally—to melt away chronic tension, restore joint mobility, and interrupt pain loops.
Common Symptoms Addressed
  • Jaw Stiffness & Discomfort: Difficulty or pain when chewing, yawning, or opening wide.
  • Clicking & Popping: Noisy or catching jaw joints during movement.
  • Clenching & Grinding (Bruxism): Sore face or jaw muscles upon waking.
  • Connected Tension: Headaches, neck stiffness, upper back tightness, and facial pressure.
What to Expect During Your Session
  • 1. Surrounding Tissue Release: We begin by releasing the holding patterns in your upper back, shoulders, chest, collarbone, and neck to relieve down-stream tension pulling on the jaw.
  • 2. Facial & Extra-Oral Work: Gentle, targeted massage along the outside of the face, cheekbones, and jawline to relax the primary chewing muscles.
  • 3. Intra-Oral Massage (Inside the Mouth): Using a gloved hand, precise pressure is applied to the internal mastication muscles inside the mouth.
Your Comfort & Safety: Intra-oral work reaches deep tension that external pressure simply cannot access. Before beginning any work inside the mouth, I will put on clean gloves, explain every step, and establish a clear stop signal so you remain in complete control throughout the entire treatment.

Bowen Therapy / Myoneuromodulation
Advanced Neuromuscular Bodywork for Tension, Mobility & Ease

With one year of advanced training and specialized credentials in this modality through Louise Tremblay/AITMC, Michele uses a carefully structured approach designed to provide targeted sensory input and encourage greater ease in the body's movement patterns.

Unlike traditional massage, Bowen techniques are generally performed using specific, focused movements with periods of rest between techniques, allowing you to remain an active participant in the treatment experience.

What May Be Supported

Bowen Therapy may be particularly appealing for clients experiencing:

Muscular tension
Restricted or uncomfortable movement
General musculoskeletal discomfort
Areas of persistent tightness
Postural tension
Repetitive-use discomfort

What to Expect

Your session begins with an individualized assessment of your current concerns, movement patterns and areas of tension.

You will remain comfortably positioned while specific Bowen techniques are applied to selected areas of the body.

The movements are gentle and precise rather than forceful. Depending on your individual presentation, the treatment may involve periods of stillness between techniques.

Your response to Bowen Therapy is individual. Some people notice changes in comfort or movement during or shortly after treatment, while others experience a more gradual response.

Energy Healing & Mastery

Here are two revised options that seamlessly blend your guided heart meditation and target chakra inquiry into both Emotional Energy Work and Somatoemotional Release.

Option 1: Emotional Energy Work

Focuses on gentle energy balancing, heart-centered grounding, and unravelling emotional root causes.

Gentle Energy Support for Mind, Body, and Spirit

Emotional Energy Work is a simple, natural, and safe method of intuitive healing designed to connect your physical and emotional well-being. Grounded in the flow of "Life Force Energy," this practice offers a focused exploration into your body’s energy centers to gently unlock and process stored emotions, restoring deep balance from the inside out. ?️

How It Works

We begin your session with a guided Heart Meditation, opening a quiet space to integrate your inner wisdom. From this centered state, we take a deep dive into a specific chakra in the body—illuminating how its current state connects to your physical or emotional symptoms. This focused approach helps with:

  • Stress & Tension Relief: Promoting a state of profound peace that allows your nervous system to rest and heal. ?

  • Emotional Clarity: Uncovering and releasing subtle blockages to clear mental "fog" and foster emotional resilience. ?

  • Holistic Support: Working in harmony with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to support recovery and self-awareness.

What to Expect During Your Session

During your treatment, you remain fully clothed and comfortably reclined on a treatment table.

  • The Technique: I will use a series of gentle, non-invasive, hands-on placements—along with subtle energetic tracking—focused on the specific chakra we are exploring. ?️

  • The Experience: You may feel sensations of warmth, light tingling, subtle shifts in breath, or deep relaxation. As connection to your inner wisdom opens, you may experience gentle emotional release, leaving you feeling lighter, grounded, and centered. ?

Our Philosophy: Emotional Energy Work is a complementary therapy that honors the whole person—integrating body, emotions, mind, and spirit to help you move through life with greater ease.

Michele Arseneault, Energy Alchemist, Holistic Consultant

About Me

"Guiding the nervous system into a state of profound stillness, where true restoration begins."

Welcome to Vitality Day Spa. My journey into holistic health began in nursing, where I developed a deep appreciation for the human body's intricate systems. Over the past three decades, that path evolved into a dedicated clinical practice blending structural bodywork with energetic alchemy.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, Naturopathic Doctor, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist, I look at wellness through a fully integrated lens. I treat the physical body while honoring the subtle energetic rivers that run beneath it.

Whether through the gentle, rhythmic release of Craniosacral Therapy, the ancient lineage of Indian Head Massage, or the cellular resonance of Sound Healing, my goal is to hold space for you to step away from the noise of daily life and return home to yourself.

Every session is custom-tailored to meet your body exactly where it is in this season, anchoring you back into a state of vibrant balance.
